I just finished recording “Gabe and Tina.” We used EQ and a very light amount of Auto-Tune to keep my vocals as natural as possible, and I’m really excited to hear the final MP3 and Wav I get the Wav then it converts to mp3 for you guys. So far, I’m happy with how it’s turning out.

The song has a double meaning. “Tina” can sound like a girl’s name, but it’s also a reference to methamphetamine and the addiction I left behind. I’ve been sober for over 10 years, and this song is about reflecting on that chapter of my life—not celebrating it.

Life has changed a lot for me. I was accepted into the college I wanted to attend, and while my classes are online for now, I’m grateful for the opportunity. My goal is to focus on school, continue making music, and keep building a better future one step at a time.

I’ve also learned a lot over the years. Some of my old social media posts don’t reflect the person I am today. I regret them, and I’ve worked hard to grow, change, and become a better person. I’m not asking anyone to ignore my past—I just hope people judge me by the person I’m working to be now.

Recovery has taught me to appreciate the life I have today. I don’t want to go back to the lifestyle I once lived. I’m staying away from drugs, surrounding myself with supportive people, and focusing on the relationships and opportunities that matter most.

People close to me have encouraged me to take things one step at a time, and I think that’s good advice. Right now, my priorities are my education, my health, and my music. Over the next four years, I plan to keep releasing new music while earning my degree and continuing to grow as both an artist and a person.

I’m excited about the future, and I’m thankful to everyone who has supported me along the way. Thank you for listening and being part of this journey.
